Throughout the Christmas period, Ferrara's Piazza Trento Trieste is transformed into one big market, hosting the stands of the Christmas Village and the Gift Festival.
- CNA CHRISTMAS VILLAGE
Piazza Trento e Trieste, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The side facing Palazzo San Crispino features the Christmas Village of the CNA master craftsmen with 13 small houses dedicated to quality craftsmanship. Twelve are fixed, while one hosts three artisans each week in rotation, for a total of 15 exhibitors. Here you can buy unique products, made with care and passion, ranging from food and wine to artistic and handcrafted creations for the home.
Among the delicacies on offer are pampepato, panettone, Christmas cakes and De.Co. certified biscuits, marinated meats prepared according to the Comacchio tradition, distillates from the delta, wines from the Verginese lands, saba, honey from the valleys, aromatic herbal teas, jams and compotes. There is no shortage of scented soaps, original fashion accessories such as costume jewellery and leather bags, ceramic artefacts, colourful creations with stones, and evocative photographs of the city framed with salvaged wood.
- CONFESERCENTI GIFT FESTIVAL
Piazza Trento e Trieste, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In continuity with the Village, the side towards the Cathedral square hosts the historical market of the Confesercenti 'Festa del Regalo' Consortium with 24 small houses full of gift ideas, sweets for the Christmas holidays, classic objects to decorate Christmas trees and cribs, and many surprises for young and old.
